TASTES OF THE SEA (warning)


The following information came from The MA Bureau of Environmental Health, GUIDE TO EATING FISH SAFELY.
For All: Do Not Eat: Lobster tomalley, any shellfish or fish from closed areas of New Bedford Harbor.

For Pregnant women or women who may become pregnant, nursing mothers and children under 12 years old: Do Not Eat: Swordfish, shark, king mackerel, tilefish and tuna steak, Bluefish caught off MA coast, Lobster, flounder, soft-shell clams and bivalves from Boston Harbor, freshwater fish caught in Massachusetts unless stocked.

May 4th, 6:00 P.M. Annual dinner. Restaurant to be announced. STAY TUNED!!!! FYI so far the options are the Naked Oyster at $25 (menu pending) and the Hyannis Yacht Club at $21.40 subject to Board approval.


Department of Natural Resources reminder


Just wanted to remind everyone that shellfishing licenses went on sale Tuesday February 16th. Department of Natural Resources will be handing out a 2010 Shellfish Survey when you go in to renew your license. Same questions as the past two years, and you can either fill it out at the office when you come in for your 2010 permit, or you can take it home and send it back to:
